SNG ARGEN is committed to applying the principles underlying Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) legislation.  SizweNtsalubaGobodo (SNG) recently acquired a significant shareholding in SNG ARGEN.  This makes SNG ARGEN a black owned company with a B-BBEE level 2 rating in terms of the BEE Codes of Good Practice that were promulgated by the Department of Trade and Industry.  As a value-add supplier, clients can claim 125% of our fees as contribution to their own procurement scores.

Secondary BEE initiatives and efforts in transformation

Youth Employment Service (YES) Students

SNG ARGEN’s approach to transformation and B-BBEE is based on the perspective that B-BBEE seeks to ensure broader and meaningful participation in the economy by black people to achieve sustainable development and prosperity. We believe that B-BBEE is an integral driver of economic and social transformation in South Africa and therefore an integral component of our business.  We pledge our commitment and resources, within reasonable means, to applying the principles underlying the B-BBEE legislation.

YES is a business-led collaboration that seeks out ground breaking ways, through innovation and technological best practice, to reignite the economy and give youth a dignified first chance.

The YES 12-month quality work experience equips unemployed youth with a toolkit to be a beacon of hope for their families, households and communities. The CV & reference letter they get at the end of their 12-months gives them a 3 x greater chance of an interview call-back

Social development

We at SNG ARGEN place great value on education. Hence, we make annual donations to non-profit organisations for providing bursaries that assist students from disadvantaged communities to obtain tertiary education.

Procurement

Our company’s procurement policy is structured to encourage entrepreneurship by channelling purchases through smaller firms.

Upliftment

It is our policy to be actively involved in the upliftment of the community. Aside from our social investment, enterprise development and training commitments, each of our employees spends at least one day a year on an appropriate project that benefits the wider community.
